During your first session, we will start reviewing your background to get a sense of your priorities and life experience. We will discuss the areas that are going well in your life as well as the areas that challenge you. Those discussions help guide the development of goals. Reaching personal goals requires collaboration and a strong therapeutic alliance with your psychologist. The first meeting provides an opportunity for you to get to know your psychologist and ask questions. Your comfort and sense of trust are imperative in progressing.
